Federal Government Contractors

Cyber Liability

Cyber liability insurance is an insurance policy that provides businesses with a combination of coverage options to help protect the company from data breaches and other cyber security issues. It’s not a question of if your organization will suffer a breach, but when. Cyber insurance policyholders can also access tools and resources to manage and mitigate cyber risk — pre-breach and post-breach.

Defense Base Act

By law, as a government contractor with overseas contracts, you are required to have Defense Base Act insurance coverage. Not having this coverage will result in fines, reduced legal defenses, and incarceration.

Foreign Voluntary Workers Compensation

Foreign Voluntary Workers Compensation is the overseas equivalent of worker’s compensation. This covers a broad range of risks including accidents that occur and endemic disease contracted outside of work hours.

Errors & Omissions (E&O)

Errors and Omissions coverage takes care of providing advice, intellectual property and/or performing information technology services. These areas are left exposed under typical property damage, bodily injury or advertising/personal injury insurance policies. Over the past few years, poor advice and security breaches have been the cause of most legal actions taken.

Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)

Government Furnished Equipment is required by a government contract to be insured and typical insurance will not cover said property. Being without coverage can cost a government contractor millions of dollars. Are you sure you are covered?

Travel Accident Insurance

You cannot assume that the health insurance of staff traveling overseas is portable. There are significant exclusions for the risks presented by overseas travel by most health insurers and compensation carriers. Will your staff be covered if they get sick and need to be evacuated or are hospitalized and family need to fly over?

Government Contractor Defense

For years, most FGC’s have relied on government immunity to cover their main exposures. Most of the time, government immunity works for the FGC. But not always. Litigation is expensive. Does your current insurance have you covered?
